Get to know Amoveo and its founder Benjamin Millepied

A collective and its founder, focused on innovative creative vision.

Superprime is thrilled to be working in affiliation with Amoveo Company, a creative collective developing cutting-edge content for film, commercials, digital media and the arts.

Led by Dimitri Chamblas, Nicholas Britell and Benjamin Millepied, Amoveo draws from a global network of world-class artistic collaborators committed to creating the finest projects in film, music, dance, and the visual arts. In addition to its full production capabilities, Amoveo also connects a pioneering community of creatives, merging artistic pedigree with innovative creative vision.

Benjamin, who founded Amoveo with composer Nicholas Britell in 2013, is also a new addition to Superprime’s roster. If you aren’t familiar with his portfolio, there’s a lot to be impressed by; a former principal dancer with NYC Ballet and an esteemed choreographer, he also founded dance company L.A. Dance Project, and in January 2013 the Paris Opera Ballet announced his appointment as its new Director.

Recently, Benjamin sought to expand the Opera’s artistic endeavors and accessibility with a new venture called 3e Scène. Meaning “third stage,” this new digital platform lives alongside the Opera’s existing houses at the Palais Garnier and the Opéra Bastille, opening it up to a new generation. Dimitri is the platform’s Artistic Director, collaborating closely with Benjamin, inviting artists like Alex Prager, Xavier Veilhan, Wendy Morgan, and Jacob Sutton, to create original artworks.

The idea is that the content shared online is entirely original, rather than tied to productions being performed by the opera or ballet companies. “We are the first arts organization to really take this step,” he told the New York Times. “It sends out a strong message that the Paris Opera is a creative place, and through our choice of collaborators it will reach a young, curious public who might be interested in the arts, in film, in technology or fashion, but who have never come to the opera or a ballet.”

Our own Loren Denis had her film O Comme Opera debut on the digital platform alongside actor-director Mathieu Amalric and the illustrator Glen Keane, amongst others.
