Martin Scorsese and Chloé Zhao for the Met’s “In America: An Anthology of Fashion”

Martin Scorsese and Chloé Zhao join seven other directors in transforming 13 period rooms in the Met Museum’s American Wing. “In America: An Anthology of Fashion” will display a history of American fashion from the late 18th century to the late 20th century for part two of the Costume Institute’s comprehensive survey of American fashion.

Scorsese will transform the Frank Lloyd Wright Room, which explores the relationship between Wright and midcentury couturier Charles James, and Zhao is transforming the Haverhill Room. The additional directors who are a part of the project include Radha Blank, Janicza Bravo, Autumn de Wilde, Julie Dash, Tom Ford, Regina King, and Sofia Coppola.
