Angelina Jolie stars in a new spot for Guerlain

The actress, filmmaker, director and Special Envoy of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees becomes the icon for the new fragrance for women.

Angelina Jolie stars in a stunning new spot for Guerlain Parfumeur that exemplifies modern femininity and creative impulse. Notes of a Woman reimagines the creation of the fragrance and exalts the iconic brand’s artisanal heart and soul.

The film, produced by Superpime, is set in Provence, France. Like the fragrance it honors, the film is alive with audacity and mystery. Illuminated by the magical light that exists only in Provence. “We could not have dreamt of a more perfect, more authentic setting for Notes of a Woman,” the French beauty brand announced.

Thierry Wasser, Guerlain’s Master Perfumer, drew inspiration from Jolie to create a fragrance that would express the choices, emotions and dreams that all women embody. “We create perfumes for the women we admire” said Jacques Guerlain, a third generation perfumer for Guerlain. As muse, Jolie’s extraordinary, sincere and authentic nature have been channeled, and then bottled. The new scent also has roots in Jolie’s childhood memory of her own mother’s love of a Guerlain powder.

Her fragrance, Mon Guerlain, is for women who defy categorization; who embrace all that life brings and all sides of themselves, who are comfortable in their own skin and whose guiding spirit is to be true to themselves and to live a life of use to others.
