Congratulations to Jeppe Rønde who collected Gold at this year’s shots Awards ceremony in London. The director’s work for Momondo’s ‘The DNA Journey’ campaign won in the Branded Entertainment of the Year category.
Each year, the shots Awards identify the most creative commercials and inspiring individuals in the industry. The coveted prizes this year were dished out by a jury of 60 advertising luminaries to brands and creatives who’s excellence and innovation went above and beyond. “A shots Award is a powerful endorsement from the very best of the global advertising community,” the shots editorial team announced.
‘The DNA Journey’ was a moving documentary-style spot that examined personal experiences and prejudices regarding race and nationality. The emotional video, which has more than nine million views on YouTube, revealed the results of a DNA experiment on 67 people from all over the world, capturing moments of shock, joy, and surprise. “It’s easy to think there are more things dividing us than uniting us. But we actually have much more in common with other nationalities than you’d think,” Momondo said of their campaign.
